Greg Roberts Discussed the VT Softball Opening Today on his Show

Greg is a former Roanoke TV Anchor who hosts a daily talk radio show in Roanoke and Lynchburg from 5-7 each day. Typically, Olympic Sports doesn't get a lot of airtime, so I was surprised to hear today's discussion. Although it may not be earth-shattering for those that follow VT softball, it was still nice to hear VT softball being discussed.

I knew I wouldn't be able to adequately transcribe the conversation, so I (finally) uploaded the segment to YouTube to share with the board in case anyone is interested (which is a feat in itself since this old guy is really, really not technically proficient!).

The discussion arose because Justin Ditmore (another former Roanoke sports anchor) reported earlier in Greg's show that Angela Tincher O'Brian interviewed for the head coaching job today.

Greg did a nice job of reviewing her positives, but then also went through nice overview of Whit and his hiring history. His conclusion, like many on this board, is that Whit would support and encourage her, but will ultimately hire someone with head coaching experience.

Hopefully, you'll find it's a decent use of your 4 minutes.
